Ref: OPSOMS01

Supermassive Games have produced some of the most recognisable and compelling storytelling titles in the world of AAA games.  The BAFTA-winning Until Dawn, the cinematic masterclass of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the multi-award winning The Quarry, the action-packed rollercoaster horror VR titles Switchback VR and Rush of Blood to the world of Little Nightmares III, and many more!

We're looking for an Office & Facilities Manager to keep our studio safe, compliant and running smoothly.

About us

We're a studio of around 100 people based in Guildford, part of the Nordisk Film group.

The games we make matter to us deeply - and so do the people who make them.

We're committed to being an inclusive employer where everyone feels able to bring their whole self to work. We celebrate what makes people different, and we actively want fresh thinking and new perspectives.

If you see things differently, that's a reason to apply.

The role:

This is a standalone, hands-on role with genuine ownership - you'll be doing as much as you're organising. You’ll be our go-to person for the building, from health, safety and fire to maintenance, contractors and the facilities budget. You’ll also look after the day-to-day running of the office and help bring the studio together for events. If you’re self-sufficient, like variety, and get satisfaction from putting good routines in place and seeing things through, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll report to the HR Director and work closely with teams across the studio, particularly IT, HR and Leadership.

What you'll be doing:

  • Looking after the building: being our main contact with the landlord and building management, doing regular walk-rounds to spot issues early, keeping on top of servicing and inspections, and getting contractors in (and checking their work) when something needs a specialist.
  • Keeping us safe: as the studio’s competent person for health, safety and fire, you’ll carry out risk assessments (including COSHH and DSE), run fire alarm tests and evacuation drills, keep our first aiders and fire marshals trained, and record and follow up incidents, including RIDDOR reporting.
  • Keeping the office running day to day: ordering supplies and snacks, sorting post and deliveries, booking couriers and catering, issuing access cards, and making sure meeting rooms, kitchens and shared spaces are stocked and ready to use.
  • Budget and suppliers: tracking facilities spend, placing orders, raising POs and processing invoices, and negotiating renewals with suppliers.
  • Space, moves and sustainability: keeping floor plans and desk allocations current, planning and helping with internal moves on the day, collecting our energy and waste data, and finding practical ways to cut our impact.
  • Studio events: working with HR and project teams to set up and clear down events, from all-studio meetings to game launches and awareness days.

What we’re looking for:

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in facilities or office management, including planned maintenance and building compliance
  • Practical experience managing health and safety in an office or similar workplace
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Experience working with landlords or building management to get issues resolved
  • Experience managing a budget, suppliers and contract renewals
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, comfortable working on your own initiative
  • Confidence talking to people at every level, with discretion around confidential information

It would be great if you also have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Experience of office moves, lease exits or dilapidations
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting
  • A working knowledge of UK GDPR, particularly around CCTV and access control
  • A current first aid or fire marshal certificate

Why join us?

  • 25 Days Annual Leave (3 of which are used when we close the studio for our end of year break)
  • Private Medical Insurance (BUPA)
  • Healthcare Cash Plan (Medicash)
  • Life Assurance (6 x annual salary)
  • Pension Scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Income Protection
  • Enhanced Family Leave (maternity and paternity pay)
  • Generous staff referral scheme
